ICCView 2.0

3D-ModellICCView presents the colorspace of an ICC-profile as 3D-model.

ICCView reads two ICC-profiles at the same time to calculate a 3D-model of the colorspaces. Both ICC-profiles can be compared visually very good in the 3D-model.

New in version 2.0:

  • Profile selection is separated into RGB, CMYK, devices and uploads
  • Automatic ICC-tag selection for 3D calculation
(AtoB for scanner and camera profiles - BtoA for display and printer profiles)

For viewing the 3D-model in VRML-format a Plugin has to be installed in your browser.

What is a ICC-profile? - How does a colorspace look like?

An ICC-colorprofile is a file that contains information about how an output device reproduces colors. Easy to say an ICC-profile contains all colors that can be reproduced on a certain output device. All colors together build the colorspace or gamut of the device. ICC profiles can be created for three types of devices: display device (monitor), input device (scanner or digital camera), or output device (printer).

The 3D-presentation allows an exact comparison of colorspaces concerning size and appearance, which is substantially improved compared to ordinary two-dimensional presentation in the CIE-xy Diagram.
