TV colorspace comparison
The TV-standard in Europa and Japan is PAL/ Secam. The US use NTSC as TV-standard. TV uses a additive RGB color system. The colorspaces are defined by the primaries for red, green and blue phospors.
In the US the phosphors were normed in 1953 by the FCC. Therefor they are called FCC-phosphors. In Europa the EBU later defined own phospors for the PAL/Secam system. The
EBU-phosphors have lower saturation comprared to the
FCC-phospohrs but they have higher luminance.
